In order to bring about a rich and healthy society, it is essential that the employees of Sun Chlorella themselves are physically and mentally healthy. We promote a harmonious balance between work and life, in which we can work while feeling a sense of fulfillment, while fulfilling the responsibilities of work, and also personal time for parenting and nursing care, family, community, self-development, etc. as part of a rich and happy life.
1. Work-Life Balance
We are conscious of the work-life balance of our employees, so we endeavor to implement maternity and childcare leave, nursing care leave, etc., while working to promote a work day of 7 hours 15 minutes to prevent excessive work, and to promote the use of rest facilities. Our efforts were rewarded when we received the Kyoto City “True Work-Life Balance” special award in December of 2012.

2. Declaration of Support for Child-rearing in Kyoto
In January of 2011, Sun Chlorella made a “Declaration of Support for Child-rearing in Kyoto.” *1
(*1) Work Life Balance Promotion Company certification system, “Declaration of Support for Child-rearing in Kyoto” was declared, and in September 2013, we were able to receive an award from the “Kyoto Prefecture Child Care Support/Workplace Environment Creation Division”. We will continue to aim to be a company that actively supports employees’ work and child-rearing balance.
3. Endorsement of “OK Company” Certification System Implementation
We endorsed the implementation of the Kyoto “Oyaji no Kai (Father’s Committee)” Liaison Committee and the Kyoto City Board of Education’s “OK Company” certification system (O (Oyaji) K (Kai)) that actively promotes the creation of workplaces in Kyoto where fathers are easily able to participate in child rearing.
4. Support of Self Development
After work is over, we invite native English-speaking teachers to conduct English conversation classes for interested parties, and we are also working on support for employee self-development. Furthermore, we employ a diverse workforce that does not discriminate, and we also employ people with disabilities.
